I've always liked lemonade. The sweet yet tangy ice cold drink, mixed with sweet peach iced tea, commonly known as an Arnold Palmer... or an Arnie Palmie (love that). This mixes well with a bourbon whiskey or dark rum.
Trust us, it's really good. But that's for another day.
Making lemonade is really simple; I always thought there was more to it until I made a fresh batch.
Homemade Lemonade
Quantities used depends on how tangy/lemony you want the lemonade, but we will start with a basic ratio that you can adjust accordingly.
You will need:
8 juicy lemons, cut into wedges (a couple cut into thin slices to garnish)
1 cup of granulated white sugar
1 cup of water, room temp
7 cups of water, ice cold
Here's what you do:
1. Combine 1-cup water and sugar
2. Heat until sugar dissolves
3.Turn off heat and set to cool (I left mine for a couple minutes)
4. Squeeze juice from lemons
5.Strain lemon juice into a jug
6. Add cooled syrup (water and sugar mix)
7. Add remaining 7 cups of ice cold water
Done!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
Fancy a pink one? Add a dash of grenadine.
