Job Title: Lead Baker

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Lead Baker to join our team. As a Lead Baker, you will be responsible for production of high-quality baked goods, ensuring that they are prepared and presented to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for managing and training other members of the baking team to ensure consistency and quality in our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Baking, decorating and packaging of baked goods and all orders  using the dedicated standardized recipes provided
  • Oversee the daily operations of the bakery, including baking, decorating, and packaging of baked goods.
  • Ensure that all baked goods are made to the highest quality and presentation standards.
  • Train and manage other members of the baking team, including scheduling, performance management, and ongoing development.
  • Develop new recipes and products to expand our menu offerings and appeal to a wide range of customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bakery environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the bakery is fully stocked and prepared for daily operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as customer service, sales and marketing, to develop and execute successful promotions and events.
  • Continually evaluate and improve the bakery's products and processes to ensure ongoing success and growth.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or baking degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a baking or pastry production environment.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to train and develop a team.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients, with a passion for creating high-quality baked goods.
  • Must be able to decorate with buttercream, sugarpaste/fondant, ganache and meringue
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with other team members and departments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
